Health Policies Symposium in the scope of EXPO 2015 IZMIR is successfully held
Izmir University of Economics Rector Prof. Dr. Attila Sezgin made an opening speech in the health symposium that took place with the coordination of Izmir University of Economics Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Business Administration and said “Today while determining the development level of the nations, the international establishments do not satisfy with the incomes they have and they also consider the level they produce education and health services. For that reason, “Health� is maybe the most important issue that we should underscore and discuss in order to receive more qualified and frequent service.� Izmir Board of Trustees President Ekrem Demirtaş stated that EXPO 2015 was a magic wand and said, “Up until now we did had administrators who misused our city, who did not have a vision and aim. EXPO 2015 is our common aim that is admitted by all sections of the society. IUE Continues to bring students together with the leading names of the sector
Bülent Erdem, the General Coordinator and Şefika Karakaya, the Material Buyer of Kastaş Rubber Corp. that produces Hydraulic Pneumatic Imperviousness Components and Rubber Parts in Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone gathered together with Department of Business Administration students. Bülent Erdem gave some information about the development, change processes and culture of the company and answered the questions of the students.  Izmir University of Economics Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Business Administration students have the chance to strengthen the theoretical information they learned in the courses with the examples in business life. In the presentation that Kastaş Rubber Industry and Trade Corp. General Coordinator Bülent Erdem and Material Buyer Şefika Karakaya attended, the students had the chance to be informed about subjects such as; the change processes in an evolving organization, the difficulties they encounter, the ways of solution, the factors that effect the decision-making process, etc.

World Accountants Congress- 2006
Izmir University Economics, Department of Business Administration Master Scholars Ece Erdener, Melike Sezgin and Yasemin Zengin attended 17th World Accountants Congress. In the congress titled “Accountancy to Achieve World Wide Economical Growth and Stability�, the latest developments and changes in accountancy world is discussed. Izmir University of Economics, Department of Business Administration Prof. Dr. Turgut Var and the master scholars Ece Erneder, Melike Sezgin and Yasemin Zengin attended World Accountants Congress. The congress held in Istanbul Lütfü Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Center hosted 3500 accountants coming all around the world and 1500 Turkish delegates. Prof. Dr. Turgut Yar pointed out the importance of attending such a congress that discusses the latest developments and changes in the accountancy world and said “By attending an international congress about our field, we came together with accountants coming from different countries and exchanged views. I believe that it is a very useful congress both for us and for our master scholars.�
