Course Objectives This course aims to cover the notion of function which is one of the fundamental concepts of Mathematics. Graphs, limits, derivatives related applications of functions are covered.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to use properties of polynomials, rational functions, exponential, logarithmic functions.
  • will be able to find the limits of functions, left and right limits, limits involving infinity and infinite limits.
  • will be able to find the continuity and derivative of a function.
  • will be able to reflect these to the tangent line equation and to notions of revenue, cost and profit from economics.
  • will be able to solve related rates problems.
