| Course Objectives | The purpose of this course is to help students to integrate academic studies with accounting and auditing field experience. It is an opportunity for students to apply their theoretic knowledge in practical organization settings for an entire semester. |

| Course Description | Applied Accounting and Auditing Skills Development course covers accounting and auditing field experience with program partnering organizations. This course aims to merge higher education with institutional life. The students who take this course will get work experience by participating in the work life actively while they continue their studies. They have an easier transition to the institutional world with work experience. Moreover, when they experience how theoretical knowledge is applied in accounting and auditing institutional life, they will be more motivated towards their courses. The students will have the advantage of being a part of the decision-making processes in the business world, taking initiative, and developing business mindsets. They will have the opportunity to find the proper sector and field/department for themselves while studying. The students should work at least 2.5 days in the organization. They are expected to be a part of an ongoing project and will be assigned active roles, which will align with the Business Administration Department’s program outcomes. |

| 1 | Pre-Work Survey - The students will complete a questionnaire to measure their knowledge and understanding of the practical course they will undertake in the first week of the semester. Then, this questionnaire will be discussed as a group study and the faculty member will inform the students about the expectations and detailed information on successful participation in a professional setting. | |
| 2 | Organizational Orientation Week | |
| 3 | Organizational Introductory Paper - Students will write a report about the organization at the end of the orientation week organized by the institution to recognize the organizational structure and workflow. Through this assignment, students will learn about the organization as a whole and understand their role within the organization better. | Collecting organizational information about the organization's history, subsidiaries, strategic alliances or joint ventures with other organizations through the organization’s web site, and other accessible documents. |
| 4 | Reflective Journal Entries - The instructor will provide a detailed framework for the work journal entries. Students are expected to upload their relevant reflective journal entries to the Blackboard system every Sunday. | |
